Flexible Purge Dams

Orbitec provide a range of Flexible Purge Dams for internal tube diameters from 13mm to 215mm.

The purge dam assemblies are pulled into position at the joint area and provide an effective seal at the tube ID.

Savings in time and gas are possible because of the reduced gas volume required to create an effective inert environment for the production of high quality welds.


Features:

  • Gas and time saving
  • Purging time only 1.5min., gas-flow only 10% of tube dimension
  • Heat resistant up to 340°C
  • Applicable in all positions
  • Simple pull through ellbows possible
